My in-laws ordered this bike for my daughter’s 5th birthday after much research and all of us desiring not to spend 0+ on a first bike at a speciality bike shop.

I read all the reviews before I made the purchase, and I was nervous about the condition of some of the parts. Some reviews said that the shipping caused parts to be bent, etc. But I had no such experience. The box came pristine, and the parts in side were just fine. My husband put together in an hour, and my 3 yr old loves it! She loves blue, so a lot of the girl bikes wouldn’t be her cup of tea, since they are mostly pink. This bike is the real deal! I ordered this bike for my 4 yr old daughter for her birthday and she loves it! I love the bright colors and as the reviewer said above, it is very unique. It is sturdy and appears to be very well made. It also came with a Hello Kitty bell but did not come with the basket as is listed in the description. I plan on calling Nirve today to see if they can send one. This bicycle is appropriate for older children as well as my 4 yr old can just reach the pedals to ride it with the seat at the lowest setting. She should be able to get several years of enjoyment from this bike! Read more...

First off it should be mentioned that this is a very sturdy bike that looks like it will last well past it’s usefulness which is the most important thing. Aside from the plastic chain guard this think is built like a tank. The instructions are plain terrible, VERY small print and not in any useful order. It seems that they wrote instructions for 6 bikes and crammed them into one book to save time. This makes it confusing as you have to skip over entire sections that don’t apply to you bike. The brake adjustment instructions were totally useless and I just had to figure it out on my own. That’s really the only hard part about assembling the bike. If there was even a remotely decent manual the assembly would have been a total breeze. Read more...

This bike was relatively easy to put together, although threading the hand break parts was a little tricky. The bike comes with training wheels and a little pouch to hang on the handle bars. It has “real” inflatable tires.
The only thing that looks questionable to me are the fringes attached to the handles. They seem to come off easily. Overall, good value for the money. Read more...
